Therapeutic Yoga

Because of her own healing experience with yoga, Francesca believes deeply that anything is possible when the mind and body are in the same place. We will use the stilling of the mind through the union of body, breath, and attention to promote deep physical and emotional healing.Yoga therapy is for people struggling with a wide-range of physical and emotional issues, including cancer, eating disorders, scoliosis¬ł herniated disks, and rotator-cuff rehabilitation.

Restorative Yoga

Creating a grounded and nurturing environment the teacher will use bolsters, blankets, and blocks to support long held poses and make space for students to rest. Restorative yoga quiets the sympathetic nervous system and stimulates the para-sympathetic nervous system. This allows for true healing, including an improvement in sleep, digestion, focus, and general well-being. Ideal for people who need space and time to relax.

Chair Yoga

Feldenkrais

The Feldenkrais Method is an approach to movement developed by Israeli physicist Moshe Feldenkrais. Throughout our lives, we develop patterns of physical and psychological behavior that become programmed into our nervous system. Many of these patterns do not serve us and can lead to physical limitations and even pain and disability. The method employs the sciences of physics, neurology and physiology to retrain the nervous system into more healthful patterns of movement. It can help to break old habits and develop new patterns of moving. The Feldenkrais Method has been acclaimed for the ability to improve posture and flexibility and bring relief to those with chronic pain and restricted movement.

The practitioner uses gentle manipulation and guides the subject into passive movements designed for the unique needs of the individual. It is performed on a table similar to a massage table and the recipient wears comfortable clothing. No oils are used.

Francesca has personally found it to be the ultimate modality to relieve chronic and debilitating pain.

Personal Training

Personal training is an invaluable complement to any yoga practice. It will offer strength training from a different perspective and add cardio to your program. All our trainers are experts in developing individualized workouts to meet specific goals.

Thai Yoga Massage

Thai Yoga Massage¬†has been an integral part of traditional Thai medicine for thousands of years. In a Thai Yoga session the practitioner guides the recipient through a series of yoga postures and deep stretches (usually prone or supine) while palming and thumbing along the body’s energy lines and pressures points. Together these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically.

Thai Yoga Massage is performed on a mat on the floor; both client and practitioner are dressed in comfortable clothing allowing ease of movement and flexibility. No oils or creams are used.
