The Science of the Private Lesson: 30 Hr. Teacher Training in Columbus, OH

July 25, 2019 @ 9:00 am - July 28, 2019 @ 6:30 pm

$650

Are you based in Columbus, Ohio or close by?

Do you want to teach more private clients? Do you feel depleted from running all over town teaching tons of group classes? Do you feel drained from teaching the private clients you do have? I hear you! I have been there too. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

It is possible to inspire and support meaningful change in your student’s lives in a way that is sustainable. Teaching yoga one-on-one requires a different skill set than teaching group classes, and these unique skills are left out of most teacher trainings.

In this teacher training you will learn practical and tangible skills that will change all of your teaching {private and group classes} right away. Teachers will also take a deep dive into their own personal development and be empowered to hear and trust their intuition; one of the most important tools in private teaching.

In this training teachers will learn…

How to Hold and Create Space, including:
– how to turn even the most hectic home or busy office into a sacred space for yoga
– how to deal with frequent interruptions in a way that leaves their students feeling nurtured, not judged, and sets a positive tone in the room
– how to manage the intense vulnerability of teaching one on one so they can stop feeling nervous with new clients

How to Create Sessions that Address Student’s Unique Bodies and Needs, including:
– how to think on their feet and create sessions that meet their students where they are on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels
– how to give physical assists in a way that transcends the typical group class experience and is appropriate and safe in a private setting

How To Build Professional, Warm and Long Term Relationships, including:
– how to build trust with their students on every level; creating a relationship where real transformation can occur
– how to create long term relationships with clients who are committed to working with them, so they never have to hustle for clients again
– how to deal with difficult clients so teachers can actually enjoy working with them

How to Deal with Boundaries, including:
– how to set physical, emotional, financial, and time boundaries so they can be truly present and generous with their clients without depleting themselves
– working within our scope of practice and partnering with doctors and PTs when appropriate
– how to manage business boundaries and have consistent, steady income they can count on {no more stress surrounding money or other sticky trigger points!}

How to Manage the Business of Yoga Like a Pro, including:
– how to find new clients, and make it easy for those clients to recommend you
– how to accept payment from clients (there are lots of options, and we’ll cover them all!)
– how to manage the scheduling part of our job (this is important and doesn’t have to be a source of stress!)
