Level 1

Level 1 is a great starting point if you are brand new to yoga. It’s also an excellent choice if you’re looking for an Active Flow that’s accessible to everyone who is confident coming up and down from the mat. Our Instructors fully explain the Asanas (poses) and we offer options for you to dial up the challenge or dial back the intensity, based on what you’re observing in your body in each moment. These classes give you foundational instructions to Asanas, especially common warm up movements, simple strengthening exercises, and standing poses. We won’t do any complicated shapes or very much weight-bearing in the arms. We build in basic breath techniques, short moments of meditation, and bits of philosophy for a well-rounded practice.

Level 1/2

This class builds on the teachings from Level 1. More difficult standing poses are introduced as well as preparatory poses for arm balances and inversions (arm balances and inversions themselves are not taught in this class however). Poses that strengthen the shoulders and the upper body are more of a focus than in Level 1.

Teachers

This class is taught at about a Level 2/3 Active Vinyasa class and is specifically for teachers. Your teacher will offer themes and teachings that are especially helpful to other yoga teachers and will stay after class for about 15 or 20 minutes to answer questions and hold space for all the teachers to connect with each other.
