“Is social media the best place to promote my in person local private lessons?”
Spoiler alert: I built a full practice (25 private clients a week for a decade and now 15 private clients a week so I have time to work with teachers!) without ever once mentioning it on social media. So, no, social media is not required to build a private practice.

Can you provide a link to your posts that speak about the best ways to find private clients? I only have a couple of them and they were really accidental. I’m in an area that people don’t want to spend money on things like private yoga. Getting people to exercise is an achievement.
