Level 1 is for you if you are new to yoga, have been away from the practice for a while, or if you want a more mellow practice. It is an active class, so it is most appropriate for people who can get down on the ground and back up again with confidence, but students who are able to do that will find this class to be both challenging and accessible. Foundational introductions to the asana practice, especially standing poses, upper body strengthening poses, and simple backbends will be found in this class and beginning variations of pranayama, meditation, and philosophy may also be included.
